Idk about desa but puyol is insane for me. Great ai, one of the best standing tackles I've seen and he jumps like a mad man.

for now it's slightly better because of the playstyles, but if france get 3 more goals this tournament the new desailly could be much better depending on what they add

Honestly I tried the new Desai but will lean towards the older evo Desai more still. New Desai's stamina goes down quick without relentless. Evod Desai can run through the game

It's better because of the playstyles, period. Only way the new one becomes better is if it gets anticipate+ and I don't think it will.

I would argue a +1 ovr and aerial plus would also make him better, the evos biggest weakness is in the air. I do agree if it's anything other than anticipate or aerial the evo will be better

Yeah that's fair. I play on old gen tbf so aerial+ isn't as important and the evo would still be better with the anticipate+.

Have both. Puyol outshines Desailly as a CB. Puyol is nuts. I used Desailly during the weekend league, and he was the hole in my defense. His AI is ass. Replaced with Puyol, and he has much more of a presence

If you do enough. I’ve done 150+ & I’ve pulled Torres (icon) Alonso 3x, Xavi 2x, Zanneti, Puyol, Desailly, a couple of heroes, Mcmanaman and Marchisio as well as multiple high rated golds which I put into the exchange SBCs. I was doing the FOF SBC so I was alternating between that and the 81pp, I Tried the 85pp and the 85x5 got nothing from them so stuck with 81pp and FOF crafting upgrades

Depends on your current squad.
Desailly is better but I'd take Puyol xause I have better CBs and CDMs than desailly but unfortunately I don't have a good RB. I'll take Puyol for my RB but if I wanted for CB or CDM I'd take desailly. He wins by a landslide although 1 less playstyle+ that intercept+ is clutch

Used Desailly in Rivals for the 7 wins rewards and he's actually incredible. When I seen some reviews of him and his low price, I was expecting an abomination but he's pretty decent.

I have Desailly but i just cant justify putting him in. I have PTG Militao and Konate. I know hes better than Konate, but I need my big boy LOL. Fucker blocks more shots than Cech.

I got both-only two decent pulls out of FOF objective..Puyol’s defense, overall just feels clean & crisp. Desa’s nice too, just has one less ps+. Only thing I’d say is get someone tall to go with one of ‘em, like a van de Ven-dude’s a killer

Really doesn't make any difference, pick whichever one you want.
That said, there's something about hair in this game.. the bigger the hair, the better the card performs. Or rather, the better the card seems to perform (maybe it's an illusion).
Just a pet theory.

Been using puyol as RB and weirdly he always recovers the ball when a 99 pace winger tries to get past. With 87 pace I thought he’d be slow but damn he catches up like nothing

I haven't used Desailly (packed him but no interest in using him) but have been impressed with Puyol. Tried using him to replace Future Stars Maldini and didn't feel like my defence was any weaker. There also seems to be something strange about the slide tackle and bruiser combo; he's got away with a few challenges for me that I would have put money on being yellow cards.

They’re both fodder and super packable just pick the one that you like more odds are you’ll pack the other one at some point. I would say desailly is a little less common tho
