The "woke stuff" isn't that they're making this movie, it's that they're marketing it like this and going out of their way to pretend like they're doing something or *eugh* "raising awareness". Then, they'll brutally attack anyone who says it's not for them, provoking their critic lapdogs and media to spin it up into some giant goddamn controversy, then it hits the other side and the anti-woke crowd jumps in and it feeds on itself, and they get their free "engagement". People reading enough weird crap like that and letting that become their ideology is how you end up with B.S. like Jennifer Lawrence thinking she's the first female action lead.
