Next thing you know, the Argentinian government starts banning gender identity rights.

Wouldn't be surprising. I hate it how these systems are either all or nothing because politicians are stupid

Considering that their president is a raging homophobe.. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do end up banning all rights

How is he a raging homophobe?

The president? He considers gay people as sick and deviant that should be cured. He destroyed the ministry for minorities rights, says that homophobia doesn’t exist, etc.

He takes out ministries, but has never said that gays are sick or anything like that. Please provide a source otherwise.

He views marriage as a contractual agreement. As a libertarian, he believes individuals should be free to enter into contracts with whomever they choose, regarding any subject. He advocates for more liberty, not less.

Hahaha.. yeah sure.. that’s why his whole government is against women, minorities, lgbtq, immigration, increasing salaries (he actually forbade unions for demanding higher wages when he personally devaluated the peso 150% in less than 6 months, but ofc him and his senators increased their salaries to 8000 usd per month each from 2000USD), he even removed the penalties that companies used to have for hiring employees under the table.

He blamed the previous government for the “increasing amount of gays”.

He is the typical far right idiot who only wants “freedom” to do what he wants but nothing else is allowed.
