Xbox hasn't had an exclusive game nominated to the Game Awards for 10 years now. :Discussion: Discussion

this shit makes me sad. I think of all the moments of gaming that can't be experienced on Xbox. The feeling of swinging through the air as spiderman, the heart pumping duels of ghost of Tsushima, the utter shock of seeing an Alien in bloodborne, the unmatched triumph of Shadow of the Colossus. All emotions that millions of Xbox players never experienced because... all their friends have Xboxes.

People don’t only have Xbox because their friends have Xbox…

PS5 is considerably more expensive than a series S, and also it’s still not consistently stocked anywhere.

All emotions that millions of Xbox players never experienced because... Sony won't release them onto Xbox

And all of those will be on PC as well soon most likely, spiderman and Shadow already are.

PC really is shaping up to be the king. Having a PC, Apple & Android mobile device, and the Nintendo system that year covers essentially the entirety of the gaming landscape.

I don't have a gaming PC, but I am tempted more and more each day to build one now that GPU prices are normal again. A PC and a more powerful Switch would be the absolutely perfect combo these days.

It takes years for Sony exclusives to make it to PC. If you want to play the best of the current generation you need a PS5.

Sony just started participating in PC crosslaunch. Some people would rather wait a year or two to play a complete and enhanced product than pay $550 for the "privilege" to play a couple games right at launch.

PC has it all and better as long as you don't need instant gratification.

I get excited about new awesome games like Horizon and don't really want to wait 3+ years to play them.

Yeah, some people need that copium hit immediately.

I just like good games

Same, I don't buy into hype and needing it immediately though, especially with single player games, Sony's forte. But if you need the $70 video games immediately, go for the gimped experience, my guy. Your money.

Yeah I mean it's the best experience out there right now and it's affordable so it's the obvious choice.

Worse than PC experience and increased in price from launch two years ago. You keep drinking that Koolaid, my guy, whatever makes you forget your misery

bloodborne

That's the one I'd really like to play. But apparently not enough to buy another console for it. If FromSoft ever makes a PS-exclusive soulslike again, I'll probably have to jump at that point. Even if I don't like the button/stick layout on the PS controllers, at all.

Yeah but ps doesn't have forza so I get an Xbox.

Like I understand what people say but not everyone is in gaming for the reason of a deep emotional third person action adventure game. I like forza vroom and can only get one console so it's an Xbox. Don't feel bad about it
