I love my XBox. It is my primary console for everything. I also bought a PS5 specifically for the Sony exclusive games and I have to say when it comes to 1st party games, Sony is lightyears ahead of XBox. God of War, Horizon, Spiderman, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima...these games are some of the best games of all time (in my opinion) and, sadly, XBox doesn't have anything that holds a candle to them. It's unfortunate because XBox has the resources to create games on par or even better than this but they just can't seem to get it done and I don't understand why.
I'm gonna go ahead and say a lot of PS exclusives are overrated as hell, but they're still good games overall and that's more than Xbox can say.
Spiderman and God of War are absolutely fantastic games and deserve all their credit
I haven't played Forbidden West, but Horizon just doesn't have good characters imo and the story had such a cool premise at first only for it to devolve into a predictable cliché on what caused the apocalypse although the tribal twist is cool.
Ghost of Tsushima is artistically amazing, but the gameplay loop gets repetitive quickly and most side quests are completely meaningless, although the story is good there. I do recall a preview saying enemies would react to you differently depending on if you fought head on or went for stealth, but that never happened in the final game.
I think I'd have enjoyed Ghost and Horizon more had they been more condensed games though.
And I never really geled with the Last of Us so I'm gonna leave it at that.
I think they put so much effort in to getting games for gamepass they forgot they were meant to make games themselves. I'm primarily a PC gamer and if it wasn't for gamepass i'd probably not have a console at all but if I was to pick one it'd be PS5 all day. Xbox really needs start putting out worthy exclusives to get people on the platform before the novelty of gamepass wears off. They're even being thrown a bone atm with Sony not putting out a comparable service for some reason.
