Watame? On MY WoT sub? It’s more likely than you think.

I tried to escape. But it's impossible! They just keep showing up in random places!

WoT is already too close to be a anime in prose. This is not a door that should be open, I fear what may lay behind it

I will not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is--wait, sorry, wrong SF/F with a secretive society of women with supernatural powers, a male Messiah who does their thing better than they do, and who conquers stuff by becoming the Chosen One of the badass desert warriors.

If Rand is Paul who in WoT could be the God Emperor ?

The Creator/Bela are WoT's equivalent of the Omnissiah, and its avatar in the physical world, the Emperor

u/ninjawhosnot 6d ago
Ok it's been years since I read the books (I'm mid reread on book 4) is Bela ever equated to the creator or is this a meme?

I am not dead! I deserve death, but I am ALIVE! ALIVE! ALIVE!

I really wish Amazon had green-lit an animated version of WoT, in the style of anime, instead of the abomination they green-lit instead.

And they do some really good animated series, Invincible, Vox Machina, I really think WoT would be much better animated, just not like a anime.

Did you ever read the graphic novel that was made for Eye of the World? That could have easily been the storyboard for an animated version.

it pretty much is "That time I was reincarnated as a sheepherder"

u/MisterTamborineMan 6d ago
"The strongest channeler came back as a sheepherder"
Expect Rand would be terrible as a LN protagonist because he isn't a good vessel for power fantasies. Being Rand suuuuuucks.

Break the seals. Break the seals, and end it. Let me die forever.

Domestication tends to trap animals toward adolescence and encourage human like features
I hate that this is somewhat accurate

u/Right-Huckleberry-47 6d ago
A part of me feels like "domesticating trollocs" is a recipe for an "oops, all Myrddraal" situation.
The other part of me fears the dark one would notice the attempt, laugh at the people inviting his presence into their homes, and say "I'll allow it"; dooming the world.

u/Shaggiest- 6d ago
Hear me out though. Is the nature of Myrddraal nature or nurture?
If brought up in a loving, Light loving home would the Fade grow up to be an asshole?

I stand by my theory that the bottom pic is what Aginor was trying for. Kicked out of the Hall of Servants when his catgirl experiments resulted in Narg instead

Yeah.. That’s a Bestigor.. Warhammer Fantasy would eat Randland for breakfast.
6
u/Revliledpembroke 6d ago
I dunno. Fantasy doesn't have Matrim Cauthon.
And Wheel of Time has the ability for their wizards to use both Urannon's Thunderbolt AND Firestorm.
Oh! And the teleporting armies would help too!
Though if Belakor or the other Demons show up, it's probably game over for Wheel of Time, yeah.

u/FreyrPrime 6d ago
Yeah, I started to think about it more deeply, and it’s not a table run honestly.
I think Randland could probably survive contact honestly, but end up with a permanent Ork infestation.
Which would probably be fine, because they’d likely invade the Blight en mass looking for a good krumpin..

Right here, Rand, this is where we need the balefire.
