A paper cup with water can destroy a windshield. It’s about the speed not only the weight. So yes a 22 oz ball can do that much damage. It’s not like these rotors are being mass produced. They are expensive

The ends of those blades look to be going 100mph+, now imagine driving 100mph and having your arm out the window and accidentally hitting a basketball that’s still.

Large birds can do significant damage to a turbine this small, but bird strikes are an unfortunate, but natural thing. Some yahoo chucking a ball into the blades is not.

I’d be more worried about mis judging the throw, having it hit the wrong blade then coming back at me or my buddies.

Now as an adult I worry about that, at 16 I’d be calling next throw if first guy missed.

I highly doubt that’s their turbine. This is someone else’s property they potentially damaged…very expensive property at that! If that is their turbine, they are even dumber as they have to repair their own equipment they decided to mess with.
