Player Spotlight A Very Proud Teacher
This is so surreal. I was Cam Padgett’s 7th grade English teacher when I was in my early 20s.
We bonded over our love for the Tar Heels and sports.
Proud (and feeling old) doesn’t even begin to describe!
Go Cam and Go Heels!

Analysis & Opinions Hardest non-con ever?
With the announcement of the acc/sec matchups, UNC looks to have one of the hardest non-conference schedules I have ever seen.
Nov 8: @Kansas
Nov 25-27: Maui Inv (Possibly: UConn, Iowa State, Auburn, etc.)
ACC/ SEC Challenge: Alabama @ Home
Jumpman Inv: Florida
CBS Sports Classic: UCLA

2024-2025 Surprise Tickets for Son and Husband
I’ve been saving all year and continue to save to surprise my husband with flight, hotel and tickets to a Tarheels game for Christmas. I want to get them decent seats so two questions: 1) how much do I need to save for a decent seat - wondering what a budget of $400 per person would get me? 2) when I book the tickets what part of the stadium do most fans want to sit?

NCAAM When are basketball tickets available?
So I'm a fan through marriage and admit to not knowing much about scheduling and all that. I would like to get tickets to a game at the Dean Dome for my family. I'm not sure when the season starts and when tickets would be available. I've tried googling it but could not find anything for 24-25 game schedule or tickets. Also if anyone knows what kinda pricing to expect?

What is UNC’s ceiling if we are unable to get another big man transfer?
Despite our struggles with NIL deals and big men, I still think we boast one of the most threatening back courts in the country. How far do you think that takes us this year?
r/tarheels • u/bosox62 • May 23 '24
NIL is ruining college sports
If the players don’t want to play for a scholarship, let them go play for pay somewhere else. It’s turning into a contest of who has the biggest boosters. This, combined with betting on college sports, will be the demise of a century old legacy of the amateur.

I got given a plaque just like this from my parents and I’ve tried researching about it and can’t find anything besides this pic. Anyone know anything about them ?

NCAAM Adou Thiero to Arkansas
Yet another of our top front court targets commits without even visiting UNC. If you're keeping score of UNC's attempt to find starters to replace Ingram and Bacot, here you go.
Ballo, Wolf, Bradshaw, Aidoo, and Thiero all committed without visiting UNC.
Only Omoruyi actually visited UNC, and then committed to Alabama a couple days later.
This is far and away the worst stretch of portal recruiting for UNC since Roy retired.
r/tarheels • u/Schned6 • May 06 '24
NCAAM You can believe in JWash and still acknowledge that a portal center is necessary.
Washington is arguably a better offensive player than any uncommitted center in the portal. At the very least he has more offensive potential than any other option. But he has a long ways to go before he is presentable at the 5 on the defensive side.
A portal add that fills the holes in Washington’s skillset is just downright necessary if this team wants to be a legit natty contender. He doesn’t have to be a world beater. Just a solid rim protector that can provide depth at the position. And that’s a lot to ask 6’9” James Brown in his freshman season tbh.

Recruiting So what happens now?
Obviously, for those in the know, Cliff Omoruyi from Rutgers chose Alabama today. Making clear that the impact portal center prospects UNC were looking at all chose to go elsewhere. I guess it would be safe to assume they reach out to a player like Great Osobor or if Norchad Omier had interest he'd reach out to them himself considering his "Do not contact" designation. What are everyone's thoughts so far? Because it looks bleak for the front court at the moment.
