Knicks/thunder nba finals FTW

Knicks in 4

u/Brooklynfool Oklahoma City Thunder 3d ago

Y’all matchup better than people think against the Celtics it will be very interesting this year in the playoffs if everyone is healthy for you all. I hope to see you guys in the end 🫡

18

u/Boomslang2-1 Hart 3d ago

Yeah the Knicks are kinda built to take on the Celtics kinda like how the Wolves built to challenge the Nuggets.

2

u/yanks1580 3d ago

I wish the knicks had been healthy this year. I really believe they could have knocked off boston. Could have....not saying they would have, but there was a chance.

Thunder are my 2nd fav team right now, so ill def be rooting hard for them for 80 regular season games 😅

3

u/nyg2013 3d ago

there are Boston fans who think the Celtics easily win in like 5 too...they get to blabber on about that until next postseason unfortunately lol

1

u/Brooklynfool Oklahoma City Thunder 2d ago

My dad is a Knicks fan I’ve been watching Knicks games since a young kid. I will always root for NY. My all time favorite season of basketball was the 12-13 season bc the Knicks and Thunder were both so exciting that year. That 2012-2013 Knicks team was so random thinking back now . Sixth man JR, DPOY Chandler , three point sniper Novak, Old man JKidd lol I have so many memories from that season w the Knicks it’s kinda crazy

2

u/Smizzool 3d ago

Mitch vs ihart would be a battle for the ages

u/WetYetii 4 3d ago

Would be fun to see the Knicks and Thunder in the finals

u/Kevinar Mitchell Robinson 3d ago

The orange and blue team wins

Knicks Thunder or Knicks Mavs work for me.

29

u/Aaaaaaandyy BANG! 3d ago

Mavs aren’t getting back to the finals anytime soon.

4

u/ReefLedger Allan Houston 3d ago

As a Knicks fan that lives in Dallas, Knicks/Mavs is my dream finals.

10

u/Urban_Introvert Nova Boys 3d ago

Very likely possibility. Boston is in our way and Minnesota is in theirs

u/NutsyFlamingo 3d ago

Maybe (I’ll hopefully tell you after it’s over)

1

u/Equivalent-Amount910 Metal Bats 1d ago

Bruh belongs at the BBQ by default cause of his pops, he doesn't need your invite LMAO

u/peanut-britle-latte 3d ago

Wishing him the best but damn, this one stings.

u/cricket9818 DOOM 3d ago

Can’t fault a talented player and good man for doing what’s best for him. Appreciate the times. Wish him the best. Except when we beat OKC in the finals

u/KuntaWuKnicks Wu Tang 3d ago

I’m not crying

Damn allergies

12

u/ObiOneKenobae 3d ago

iHart's grit and iq are off the charts, OKC got a good one. Glad he got the bag, holy shit.

11

u/SteelBrightblade1 3d ago

He’s replaceable

We have Hart

Now we just need a Stein

10

u/zeezee2k 3d ago

How soon are the thunders allowed to trade iHart?

Miss him already, what a dawg

6

u/velocissimo Brunson 3d ago

I’ll never forget the hustle plays, especially that rebound against Philly that led to the crazy Divo 3 to complete the comeback

13

u/Coolio1014 3 to the Dome 3d ago

He exceeded all expectations I had for him when he first signed with us. Going to miss him, can't fault him for chasing the money however cause he's earned it

17

u/dedbeats Larry Johnson 3d ago

Mf should change #foe to #moe 😭

11

u/deuce_and_a_quarter Anthony Mason 3d ago

He earned that money. He played his heart out for us, and so he doesn’t owe us anything. Wish him well and applaud him when he comes back to the Garden.

6

u/dedbeats Larry Johnson 3d ago

I’m not saying he didn’t, nor do I think he should have left all that money on the table. I’m happy for him and OAKAAK. But family over everything in this context would include money.

2

u/deuce_and_a_quarter Anthony Mason 3d ago

✌️ let’s find our new center (backup) assuming Mitch is starting.

8

u/Casamance Immanuel Quickley 3d ago

A new kid with his wife and the bag, iHart is living the life.

He’s going to get hell of an ovation when he plays at the Garden.

6

u/Ilovecharli 3d ago

Some jackass called into KFTV to say he's going to boo him

3

u/yrogerg123 Brunson 2d ago

You're dead to me Zay. Congrats on the bag.

6

u/retrohan7 3d ago

I don't think # family over everything has the same ring to it anymore

3

u/cricket9818 DOOM 3d ago

I imagine he’s referring to his family, not Knicks fam

7

u/retrohan7 3d ago

he used FOE in reference to the knicks/his teammates all season

2

u/fuggettabuddy 34 3d ago

He had his eyes on the prize all season long

2

u/dorknewyork 3d ago

This hurts I’m not gonna lie to you

2

u/NYerInTex NOVA 3d ago

Oh sure, loves use but the first opportunity to make 12 million more a year and boom, he’s gone!

Love ya right back iHart - you are still young. See you on a few years!

2

u/Additional_Silver749 3d ago

✌️had fun. Get your money homie.

But IMO thunder overpaid by at least 8mil min. Thibs system made him.

4

u/HoyaDestroya33 Rebecca Haarlow 3d ago

They have to. They're not a premium FA destination. I guess looking back with hindsight, we should've signed him 3 years and got his bird rights. Wish all the best to Big Hart.

2

u/andelaccess 3d ago

i am fine with the knicks playing any team in the finals. if we make the finals it will be my most hyped sports moment for sure

4

u/HOUSEOFMISFITSX 3d ago

Embiid and Myles turner bullied ihart in playoffs not built for NY Ihart is a back up he got his money he not finna show nobody this why okc paid him sick eee dueces brunson took pay cut because he is about the team Ihart wanted money he got it ihart would've have stayed but he wanted out so later when you see Knicks winning be like RJ and Quick and be happy for us plus mad times me and my ppl screaming at the TV because ihart is super soft like kobe be saying softtt 💯💯💯💯

1

u/Automatic-Pay-1391 2d ago

Before we signed him for 2 years 16 mil he was playing on player minimum salaries for his career, he just signed a Aav of 29 mil and we were stuck with our offer due to the rules. Can’t get mad at a guy getting his first major contract after having a career year. Respectfully I have absolutely no idea of anything else you said in your post

3

u/lolo161 3d ago

Have fun with extra money when your bored af in okc with nothing to do

4

u/Ilovecharli 3d ago

He'll be there for two years, only spend half the year there anyway, and can fly his family on a personal jet whenever he gets bored

4

u/lolo161 3d ago

Still man you win a title here you set for life in the best city on planet earth

1

u/dibzim Julius Randle 2d ago

Nobody in his position would take 4/72 over 3/87

3

u/ThatWasTheIdea 33 3d ago

Why are people simping now for this dude and the Thunder now? I totally understand why he did what he did, I would have done the same in his position, but he made his choice. From now on is Fuck Isaiah Hartenstein and as always fuck the Thunder.

Not gonna fault a man for securing the bag for his family. This is the reason why they play. Happy for you Big Hart.

Class act. Thanks for all your hard work Hartenstein.

2

u/squishyliquid Ewing Flat Top 3d ago

Imma root for him for the length of his career. He earned that bag and we didn’t have it for him. I’m not going to fault him for that!

1

u/well_jackson 80s Logo 3d ago

Imagine leaving the Knicks now, after this season, with the new pieces gained and big pieces coming back to full strength. The chance to be a truly significant part of a massive turnaround for the franchise

5

u/HoyaDestroya33 Rebecca Haarlow 3d ago

He's going to a rising team not Detroit. They finished first place in the bloody west without him and now those guys have more experience in the Playoffs.

1

u/well_jackson 80s Logo 3d ago

I'm just a romantic. I think he should have stayed and become a NYK legend

5

u/Braunb8888 3d ago

You try leaving 15 million on the table.

1

u/darkestb4thadawn 3d ago

Appreciated his time here but he’s now an enemy combatant.

I love you iHart and I hope the money makes a real difference for you buying that $1mm soulless 10bedroom McMansion in the “nice part” OKC. I hope you enjoy having more money to eat a bigger steak at - checks the OkC dining scene - at Cattlemens. You are bout to learn the hard way that being filthy rich outside of a few cities in this country is like getting another set of ESPN channels: interesting and better than having less I guess, but not really changing much, really.

13

u/fat_lever123 3d ago

Almost like he can make $90 million dollars in three years and then move wherever he wants with his generational wealth.

Nothing but love for IHart and anyone who holds this against him is an insane person.

6

u/Thiswasamistake19 3d ago

Love that this guy is acting like he knows what it’s like to be filthy rich and live anywhere at all, let alone OKC

7

u/solo118 Ewing to the Finals 3d ago

just be happy for the guy lol

1

u/Automatic-Pay-1391 2d ago

It’s a 3 year deal with the third rumored to be no. Guaranteed, you act like he will be stuck in the confines of OKC for eternity lol

Ehhh fuck ‘em enjoy your extra 10 million dollars on free taco night when 2k fans show up in December. Enjoy your egg noodles and ketchup in Oklahoma. The real spaghetti will be at the Garden.
