The show last night was amazing!!
My boyfriend got me tickets to his PA show for my birthday and I was stoked.
The show was just amazing! We traveled from Baltimore (I know it's no Chicago..)
All the comics were great! If you were at the show, I was the lady that wooed when one of them asked if anyone had used a sex swing. I swear I would not have wooed so confidently if I knew I was the only girl wooing.
And how many of you are now craving a grape uncrustable?
But I have to say that the comics did great building a relationship to the audience even though the venue was large. I myself, was trepidatious that the comedy wouldn't pick up without being able to make eye contact with the person they are talking to. This was no issue at all.
Even better was the couple times someone tried to make their own joke during Jeff's set and the room went silent 😂😂😂😂
It was like we all silently agreed to not feed the troll.
And a final thought: The lady I sat next to and I were discussing how we discovered Jeff. We both agreed that we didn't really like crowd work as a comedy medium but Jeff was the exception. When she wondered why, I told her my theory that Jeff makes us all feel younger because it's like laughing with the class clown. He doesn't really seem to adhere to a list of limited jokes, but is just very clever and genuine. You wanna laugh because he is discovering the joke about the same time you are.
10/10 favorite comedy show ever!

It was a great show, the troll you mentioned was 2 rows in front of me. The guy was not funny and did it non-stop. Glad Jeff didn't give in. He did a great job.

The way you described it really is true, his comedy is organic, as if your both taking the ride together to discover the joke. All while enjoying the journey of space racism 😂

Was there as well last night. Non stop laughter. Thought there would be some down time, but really no. Had to buy tickets through Stub Hub, so Ticketmaster better get it's act together. Definitely , worth every penny!!

I was at the show last night too! It was so good. All of the comics were funny. I especially liked the bit about space racism.
I do agree with you about Jeff discovering the joke as we are and laughing with the class clown. I'm normally not into comics that do crowd work either, but Jeff is the exception. My theory why, in addition to what you said, is that Jeff asks questions and lets people speak up. Instead of putting them down, calling them names and making fun of them like other comedians do, he asks follow up questions which sometimes lets the person put their foot in their own mouth and then pokes fun at them a little bit. It feels like hanging out with a group of friends that tease each other instead of a comic picking on someone and putting them down for their own enjoyment.

I think Jeff's crowd work is great not just because of how quick he is but also that he meets everyone with a fresh eyes approach. Like, wow.. I discovered something new today way he treats everybody.
