Anyone else annoyed they changed this? COMIC SPOILERS

Post image

Amazon primes doesn’t allow screenshots so I’ll just use this basic pic, but is anyone else annoyed Rae survived? Because if she survives, that means everyone survived the battle. Let at least 1 death from that fight be permanent.

I hate it. Audiences are wayyyyyy too used to the marvel way of never letting characters actually die and it sucks. It removes tension. Fights where i know for a fact all the heroes will be ok are boring. This show isnt for children. Let people face consequences. There is no realistic way she survived that shit,

Fr, the chewing and suffocation, she should have been a heap of bloody pulp after that. Everyone here is delusional and enamored with a character with 0 character.

I like Rae, but I agree. There's no way she could have realistically survived that, especially not without coming out extremely mangled.

I am curious to see what they'll do with her, but I do think they kind of undermined themselves.

I think the biggest issue is at no point does the show, show us that she could survive that. Like if we know she was like antman or some shit where when she’s small she’s much tougher and more durable, it wouldn’t be an issue

She got injured from the chewing, shrunk when he pushed in on her, and was only in there for a few minutes. It makes perfect sense that she'd just barely survive

Fake out deaths are annoying enough but they went so far to sell this death that the fake out is straight up obnoxious and hard to believe. It totally undercuts what was and what should have been a shocking ending to the episode after finally bringing the show back after a long wait.

Doing this right after revealing Allen was also still alive after seemingly being killed was a poor choice.

This isn't clever writing, it trains the audience to not react to subsequent deaths because they're waiting for the reveal that they're actually alive. So even when the show has the guts to actually have a death and stick with it, by that time the audience accepts that character is dead the moment has long passed for any real impact.

They took a really horrifying and shocking moment that reminded us how no one is really safe in this show and that the stakes are real in every fight and totally undercut that. The main characters, even the under developed ones are [Invincible].

Seriously, she was a side character with a few lines. She didn’t need an expanded story. I am pretty convinced this is an amazon change because of the weird amount of popularity the character got.
