I am NOT looking forward to the absolutely brain dead takes that’ll pop up once this is animated. I just know I’m gonna see people unironically saying “it should’ve been me” or “Mark shouldn’t be a baby about it.” I’ve seen those takes before. It’s just gonna be even worse now.
Yeah, I remember in college when my friend group were reading invincible for the first time and this sequence produced a lot of dogshit brain rot takes. The former said in jest, the latter, disturbingly, said seriously. I made sure to drop those people out of my life if they sided with the latter.
What’s gonna suck is there isn’t going to be a good discussion either way. Because to me this is a really good scene about the realities of non-human morality. People are upset that another species don’t abide by human standards, which is fine.
But the real question is why should her, Nolan, or any of the viltrumites abide by them?
