she wasn't, but that's not the point. he's grieving and he lashed out. they're all fucked up. of course it's not her fault, but the man going to group therapy over his wife/partner being murdered is not exactly in the frame of mind to be at peace with that yet.

This is exactly why the meeting has rules against revealing identities, and these two broke it on Debbie's first day.

Realistically her husband's identity would have been obvious the more she opened up. Her main grief is about him turning out to be a terrible all-powerful world destroying supervillain who beat the shit out of their son and then left

and these two broke it on Debbie's first day.

Incidentally "there's a bar down the street where a bunch of us from the group like to hang out after sessions" my ass, it was just the two of them the entire time lol.

A response from someone over the age of 12. Thank you!

Right. So many slow takes about this plot point.

I suspect he may come around.

Invincible fans vs characters who act in emotionally volatile but realistic ways, it's an unbeatable matchup

Reacting that way isn't realistic at all.

Uh imagine going to a support group after someone killed your spouse and finding out that the killer’s wife is also at your support group. Not saying Theo was “right” but it’s very understandable. He really shouldn’t have broken the ground rules to begin with.

People going through trauma in real life frequently lash out even at people who have nothing to do with the situation, just because they don't know what else to do!

I'm surprised Debbie told him to begin with

he's grieving and he lashed out. they're all fucked up.

This is why I'm hoping they mend fences in a future episode. It was an entirely human response on Theo's part, even if it was fucked up.

That doesn't make him not a piece of shit for that though.
