My big brother almost stopped reading the “Firepower” prequel because he thought that Ling Zan was a guy…

So back in late September 2022, my brother finally started reading this comic book after I recommended it to him.

He liked it due to its compelling beginning (the Wei Lun vs. Owen fight scene)

But as he was reading, he thought that Owen and Ling Zan were a gay couple. He thought that Ling Zang is a dude. Then, he tells me that he stopped reading the comic and why he stopped.

I then tell him that Ling Zan is actually a girl. And then my brother tells me that he thought that she was a dude because she’s bald. I then tell him that the reason she’s bald is because she’s a monk.

And then he finally realized, it all started to make sense to him.

And I don’t blame him, I thought that Ling Zan was a dude too when I saw her for the first time. LOL 😂

“I would never let my wife be bald”, he said.

Haha 😂

Oh man! This guy almost stopped reading due to a misunderstanding.

Shit happens…

So he didn’t like the story because he thought they were a gay couple? Talk about close-minded. And to also judge a woman based on them having a shaved head? Grow up.

Totally agree.

Pretty much everyone looks better with hair on their heads.
