I'm thinking of bringing my motorcycle up to app state just for a boulevard bike to drive around. I am a sophomore, and I had parking at app state as a freshman in Lot 105. Was a hassle to get there and back just to get a car to buy a bunch of groceries or go to the parkway, or even take the bus to pick up my insulin from Walgreen's. I noticed people kept their motorcycles outside their dorms. I will be living in Doughton as an RA and want to know if I have to buy a separate parking pass or can I just leave it there near the bike racks? When I say "have to" I mean, do they enforce it? I know there are separate motorcycle parking passes you need to get (it think)

Anybody else having crumbling going into the student tab and entering their student ID it won’t take it and I have the email verification that I payed the 50$ for this year and it won’t let me enter my student ID everytine I call the athletics number they never pick up

Would appreciate any recommendations on traffic lawyers in Boone. Son got a 72 in a 55 on 421 coming home from App. He has a smaller speeding ticket from a year ago (9mph over) so I need this one dealt with to not affect insurance if possible!

I currently have a base essay that is more about overcoming hardship in my high school theater department. I was wondering if I should attempt to aim the essay more towards the college itself and why I would like to go there? I am beginning at App State this fall and just wanted to be clear about the football games. I bought the student Yosef Club membership for this year, but I wanted to know when and where I should claim my tickets so that I don't miss the home games. I also wanted to know what my parents and family can do to be sure they can come to games (if they can even be sure ha). I know this sub is probably tired of being asked about football, so thank you for your time and attention!

It's my fourth year as an App parent but first time planning to buy football tickets and I completely forgot about the sale yesterday for the Liberty game. Resale sites are crazy at the moment ($200+) - do more experienced football attendees know if that will tend to come down over time? How badly did I mess this up?

For context I am an out of state transfer student coming to App State with plans to gain residency. For those of you who were out of state or transferred, any tips on getting scholarships or financial aid outside of federal? I understand they can be stingy with money (as most universities do) but I’m wondering if there’s any advice or loopholes that may help me get at least a tiny bit more money before becoming a NC resident. (I’ve already applied to Continuing Students ASAP with multiple applications, I got nothing 😐)

On the 20th of June my son and a friend left the Ale House around 12:30 AM. Upon crossing the street he and his friend were struck by a vehicle. and run. My son is lucky to be alive and if it wasn't for his friend pulling him back he wouldn't be. airlifted to Johnson City TN. Luckily the only serious injury he sustained was a broken femur. am sharing this post to all because the vehicle and driver have not yet been identified. If your son or daughter were at the Ale House or near that vicinity on the 20th could you please ask them if they saw anything related to this accident. The front of the car sustained damage to the right headlight.

Hello. Has anyone taken organic chemistry 2 with Dr. Shaw in the second summer and can tell me how it is? What can one expect going into it?

I applied for App state and it said that after may 31st I would have an answer to my waitlist. I am happy to get waitlisted but also concerned. I was a below average highschool student and wonder if I will get past the waitlist. After may 31st it said “We will notify you should space become available.” I really do want a fresh chance to really try in college. Is there anything else I can do while on the waitlist? And should I just go with Wcu because app state hasn’t gotten back yet?

Current students- Are there any art or music festivals popular among app state students? Music, art, dancing, outdoors, camping, etc. kind of hippie vibe. Or similar type events?

I’m in Boone for a week or so over summer, I know we have to pay to get into the SRC. Was wondering if anyone knew of gyms in Boone that have day passes or such because $5 a day for the SRC is absurd over a week
